14 x 5 x 7/8" Cedar

This is a 14 x 5 x 7/8" made from Cedar wood.  Cedar is not normally used for musical instruments due to its characteristics and the fact that it's a "softwood" but I thought I'd give it a try and low and behold, it sounds incredible.  And the look is just as incredible!  The shell is thicker than most as I wanted to ensure the strength of it.  The thickness also adds to its character! This snare has Fat Cat 16 strand wires with all black hardware.
